Radon
Radon is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can’t see, smell, or taste. Its presence in your home can pose a danger to your family's health. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in America and claims about 20,000 lives annually.

EPA Recommends: www.EPA.gov/Radon
  • If you are buying a home or selling your home, have it tested for radon.
  • For a new home, ask if radon-resistant construction features were used and if the home has been tested.
  • Fix the home if the radon level is 4 picoCuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher.
  • Radon levels less than 4 pCi/L still pose a risk, and in many cases, may be reduced.
  • Take steps to prevent device interference when conducting a radon test.

Termite

A termite inspection is a visual inspection of the readily accessible areas of a home for evidence of wood-destroying insects and wood-destroying organisms and can be added to your scheduled home inspection.  Mirowski Inspections is certified to visually inspect the entire interior of a home (including accessing and entering any sub-space such as basements and crawlspaces) and exterior of the property.

Commercial Infrared Predictive Maintenance Inspections
Infrared Thermography as a predictive maintenance inspection technique is a widely-recognized and effective non-destructive testing tool often used to check electrical and mechanical systems, buildings, roofs and facilities. IR is also used to improve manufacturing processes and is utilized in R&D applications. Mirowski Inspections provides these infrared inspection services coupled with detailed reports to assist both clients and contract service providers with quality information to save them money and time.

Building Diagnostics
Moisture in building materials can destroy structural integrity and nurture mold. The first step in moisture problem remediation is to quickly and accurately locate and remove all sources of moisture. Mirowski Inspections uses FLIR infrared to help detect problems from post catastrophic fire and flood investigations to chronic leaks and moisture problems with little or no physical disassembly of the premises and minimal disturbance of inhabitants. - Many insurance companies, restoration firms, and building owners require thermographers to have certification in infrared building science. In response, Mirowski Inspection is certified and can meet these needs.
