Why You Need Infrared Property Inspections

Buying a home is a big investment. So why settle for an ordinary inspection? Mirowski Inspection puts advanced infrared home inspection technology and other powerful tools in the hands of highly trained, skilled and qualified home inspectors to better serve our customers at every inspection.

Thermal imaging allows our inspectors to see beyond what the naked eyes allow and extends our ability to inspect for our customers. It also has helped our inspectors better understand and explain the condition of the house. Thermal Imaging (also called Infrared or Thermography) is photography that captures the image based upon wavelengths of light that have a lower frequency than normal, visual light and in the next 5 years, thermal imaging will probably become a standard procedure of property inspections.

All Mirowski Inspections Include Infrared Scans

Infrared detects tiny but crucial differences in temperature throughout a house, including behind the walls, beneath the floors and beyond ceilings. These temperature variations often reveal “invisible” problems concealed from the naked eye, including hidden moisture intrusion, roof and plumbing leaks, faulty wiring, and energy loss, missing insulation, ventilation problems, structural concerns and moisture related to termite infestations. Most of these problems will go undetected in an ordinary visual inspection.  But with a Mirowski Inspection, we can easily and quickly scan the house and pinpoint these concerns, providing customers with additional vital information that competitors simply can’t offer.

What Infrared Detects

INFRARED HOME INSPECTIONS-MIROWSKI INSPECTIONS SPRINGFIELD MO (3)A Home Inspection using Infrared Technology is a non-intrusive method that can help expose hidden defects not typically found during conventional home inspections including water penetration of the roof and siding, insulation deficiencies, plumbing leaks, and HVAC duct work and insulation-related problems. Potential home buyers of homes can discover problems that may go undiscovered until it’s too late.  Existing homeowners can use the infrared scan to reveal defects not normally seen with the human eye before a home warranty expires.

“This is the second time we have used the services of Mirowski Inspections. The first time was a thermal inspection in our older bungalow home. Steve showed us where we were losing energy and $$. With a little insulation and caulking, the problem was easily corrected. And we just had a complete home and termite inspection on a potential investment property. We received a thorough inspection by Jedidiah. He went over every nook and cranny of that house, giving us a complete picture of what needs to be addressed. I feel confident knowing there won’t be any surprises. What a Great Team!!” – Jeri S.
